The Rat and Ratchet, Huddersfield

Visited this pub in the early 90's in my student days at Hudds Uni. It was then an excellent real ale pub; sounds like it's still going well.

The Air Balloon Inn, Birdlip

Re-visited this pub recently on the way back from a mountain marathon with a couple of friends. I had the Sunday roast which again was very disappointing - just about warm and not cooked very well. They both had other items from the menu such as Lasagne which they told me was better and their portions were better. The lesson appears to be: "avoid the Sunday Roast".
