The Anglers, Teddington

OK, they do have that lovely playground in the garden. And the garden might be nice in the summer.

However,

the food is awful and the service is just as bad. We went there for Sunday lunch. We had to clear the table ourselves, we had to order food at the bar (no waiters were interested in serving us - some were even rude). They are so understaffed!

The food was the worst - THE WORST- I have eaten for a very long time! The beef was so tough dry, it was inedible. It must have been sliced and left on the heater for hours before it got onto my plate. Vegetarian sausages were tasteless. The vegetables were few and severely overcooked. The bread-and-butter pudding tasted of stale bread and apple crumble tasted of dry flour. Coffee took ages, it came in a fingerprinted cup. And it was cold.

Most certainly we are not coming back!
