The Royal Oak, Aubourn

discovered this pub as the start/finish point of a country walk. What a find. nice old fashion pub that seems to be trapped in the timewarp where pubs were pubs. good food at fair prices, none of that pretensious stuff, good beer and friendly staff. highly recommended

The Crumplehorn Inn, Polperro

nipped in on the way back to the carpark at about 2pm. friendly staff, a good array of ales and all seemed well kept. any comments around it being touristy, well im a tourist as probably are the readers of beer in the evening reviews and i shall be booking 4 days of my hols next year to stop here. ideal location and a good choice of local pubs to visit, well thats what the staff said!

The Driftwood Spars Hotel, St Agnes

Visited this pub 3rd week in july 2011about 1pm. Im a real ale follower and this one is a muster!
8 handpumps 2 of their own brews, one skinners, tribute plus 4 microbreweries beers. Nice old fashion pub surroundings in the pub area all you could want. Had a snack, all well presented and tasty but pricey, but if you want cheap go to one of the cheap chain pubsand drink trash beer! Class place. We are booking to stop there next year on the strength of our visit. Cant comment on the restraunt but it looks a bit modern, cafe culture style.
