The Eagle, Hoxton

How come this pub is in the Good Beer Guide and the Wenlock has been quietly dropped? Makes one wonder what CAMRA are thinking of. I wouldn't bother dropping in here on the Wenlock/Old Fountain run. The bar staff are snotty and hopeless and the beer choice boring, not kept properly or simply not there.

A great boozer that's come on a treat in the last few years. Always a good choice of beer and a proper cider.

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

Great beers, brilliant choice. Hats off to the cellar man - never had a bad drink here. Nice customers too - very friendly.Tuesday is the day to go for the old codgers club when the beer tickers meet up and the cellar runs are on. The salt beef doorstep sandwiches are enormous and wonderful.
