Met friends here during my recent stay in London...went here due to it's rich past, but could not stay-so smoke-filled..really a shame, the place itself is so lovely

On our last night in Londan (12/3/07) we had a traditional "pie" and ale at this quaint pub.It was refreshingly smoke-free...........wonderful time!!

Went here before seeing Wicked at the Apollo on the recommendation from a Big Bus Tourguide-wanted the traditional fish & chips meal-was really disappointed........better in the USA! And mushy peas? Very strange.........french waitress not too helpful or friendly. Would never go back
