The Lamplighter, St Helier

Probabaly the top real ale outlet in Jersey (and Malt whisky too)Half a dozen or so real ale pumps and 3 cider. All bar one from the Channel Islands. Whychwood was the other. Very comfortable pub and friendly to this visitor too.

The Pembroke Hotel, Grouville

Had a couple of pints of Betty Scoggs whilst waiting for the restaurant to open where I had an excellent steak. 2 hand pumps on offer both from England (Spitfire was the other). Shame there was no Jersey ale on but Betty was very good. Quite busy for early evening and locals seemed friendly enough.

The Red Lion, Swanage

Totally agree with jdb1 below. Beer and pub excellent,food not so,in my case fish and chips could have been hotter and fish was undercooked
