The Edinburgh Arms, York

Owners are terrific! There has been a major refurbishment in the last year and the place looks great. Usually 3 real ales on at any one time. There is live music several days a week which isn't too bad either. Very good food and reasonably priced.

The Snickleway Inn, York

Snickleway is a nice auld venue. 5 real ales on at any one time...does live music and the staff is friendly.

Ye Olde Shambles Tavern, York

The rating for this pub is far too low. Cozy front bar that has 4 real ales that are all well served and rotate fairly frequently, Also, it has a very nice bottle selection! The staff have always been kind and attentive. I am returning soon and will surely stop in!
