The Cross Foxes, Erbistock

Met the rest of the family here for a Saturday lunch and was immediately impressed wioth the surroundings and the view of the river. We were't disappointed inside either, lovely old (but with a modern twist) pub, roomy and was given a large table with a garden/river view. Food ordered at the bar. Service was friendly and polite and made us non locals feel welcome.
Food (main course & pudding) was excellent, Fish cakes were humungous but very tasty, Cheese Bacon Burger was very tasty, Rump Steak cooked just right (med rare) and had a lovely buttery taste - the chips with all were clearly home made and delicious. Chosen puddings were Eaton Mess which was a winner but by far the most popular choice and the winner was the waffles with hot chocolate sauce & vanilla ice-cream.
Highly recommend this pub but beware that the food is priced for the quantity and quality you receive.

The Spring Tavern, Ewell

Visited this for the first time on a sunny Friday evening and found the whole experience pleasant. There was plenty of people inside and out drink, plus the seating area for the food was well occupied too. The pub has an air of middle glass gastro pub about it, we found the bar service polite and attentive. Although we never tried the food, of what we saw served, looked wholesome and well presented. Cosmopolitan cocktails were well made and strong - so the misses says anyway.
Overall we were well impressed with, what is now our 'local' and will certainly going back for more and to try the food.

The Badachro Inn, Badachro

An oasis worth seeking out in a gorgeously beautiful part of the country. inside the pub is comfy and old, adjoined to it is a roofed, glazed seating area should you need to shelter from the weather, but outside is a decking area. Both the decking area and the glazed area afford great views across the Loch.
As stated by other visitors the beer/drink choice is ample and the food menu makes you salivate before you order.
We only visited for a light lunch, when breaded Camambert was one choice and a wild Salmon salad the other. Both were delighful, full of flavour and served with a perfectly dressed salad and fresh bread rolls and some unsalted butter. All of it was scrummy.
if your in the area of Gairloch, Poolewe, Badachro or just the North West Highlands - this has to be on your route.
