The Anchor Inn, Lower Froyle

Great renovation to a lovely pub but unfortunately being paid for through laughably high food prices. The cheapest thing on a very short lunch menu when we visited was Toad in the Hole at &10.50. As this came with no potatoes or veg, adding these as side dishes raised the price to over �16! The Toad consisted of two extremely ordinary sausages in a little island of batter, hardly justifying the price. This is a place that can't decide whether it's a pub or a restaurant: the food is far too expensive for a pub and the dinner menu is far to short for a restaurant. If they halved their prices this would be a great place.
