This pub has been closed for some time and is reported to be in a poor state of repair.
It is likely to be demolished and 8 new council homes built on the site. Unusually this pub is owned by the local council.

Note that this pub was fairly briefly closed and boarded up, pending a sale by auction.
The freehold has now been sold, not certain when it will reopen.
Therefore PLEASE BE AWARE that previous reviews may no longer be accurate.
I expect to visit next week.

Old Ship Aground, Minehead
The beer was excellent on a recent visit.
Standards of food have however slipped. Acceptable, but not in my view as good as previously. Steak was smaller and less tender, and service very slow.
Still worth 7 out of 10, but previously was worth 9
