The Wrestlers, Highgate

I shifted my patronage from the flask purely becauseof the excellent vegetablist options on the menu(all ther more surprising given that the excellent chef is Polish; a race not known for veggie cooking!) The only prob i have dicovered with this gaff is that it is so convivial and relaxing that one loses track of time. Indeed, so, er...'relaxed' did I become that i have no recollection of leaving, or giving my poor wife a black eye, so won't be back for a while. :(

The Flask, Highgate

I went after hearing about the big selection of foreign beers. they are indeed nice but service was very slow, and there weren't enough glasses(it was busy, but that isn't my fault). Much as I enjoy continental lagers, they are devilish strong, so be warned! I have no recollection of getting home, but my poor wife has, because i somehow managed to give her a black eye, and won't be going anywhere until I have persuaded her to drop divorce proceedings.
