The Princess Louise, Holborn

Good cheap food, though a rather small selection. Pleasant enough atmosphere though the toilets were minging. There was some graffiti dated from 2003 - I wonder if that was when they were last cleaned.

Taurus, Manchester

A quiet pub at the Picadilly end of canal street with a friendly atmosphere, ample seating and great food. The staff very quickly learn who the regulars are and always give a warm welcome.

They also have a function room available for private hire.

My favourite drinking establishment in Manchester.
