The Fiddlers Elbow, Kentish Town

Great boozer, really varied punters, open mic every Wednesday (not the 1st or last like most)with friendly host who makes you feel relaxed, bar billiards (very rare) and overall a real pub with real staff who know who's next and serve you very fast (not like those trendy bars whose staff really haven't got a clue although they look hip/cool, which has nothing to do with drinking)
