The Whistle and Flute, Putney
There must be lots of you out there who remember when this was a GREAT pub called Shannon's? It was the mid-late 1990s, and Putney had a great atmosphere, eg.I even overheard one bloke say to another "...I went up to London yesterday..."! There was a modern village atmosphere then and Shannons was a real hub, esp.on Friday and Saturday nights. I remember (sort of) hobbling home on foot from this place on many a Friday night, and arriving home just in time to catch Whose Line Is It Anyway? on Channel 4. Anyone else remember those days? Btw, Jonny G, are you still out there?
