The Washington, Belsize Park

we came up from brighton last saturday afternoon to meet up with our london mates for lunch and a few jars. a friend suggested this place and we trusted him despite the poor customer rating of 4.5... thank goodness for that... beautiful old decor inside, leather sofas or tables and chairs, plenty of room, sunny, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, wide selection of unusual lagers, excellent food (mains for about �8)... not surprisingly we ended up staying til closing time... and catching the eastbourne train home!!! an excellent day at the washington - cheers
