The Three Compasses, Farringdon

I had heard that the Three Compasses was under new management (which it desperately needed as was a grotty old place and apart from the Thai upstairs avoided at all costs) decided to meet some friends for a quick after work drink and give it a chance! I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and smart interior and particularly the service which was warm and friendly. We were encouraged to sit at a table and ensured that someone would be over to take our order - often code for get away from the bar and we will come to you at some point when we fancy it - we were served quickly with a beaming smile and as it happens stayed for a few more than the planned one amongst the gentle buzz of happy chatter! Lovely evening!
