The Edinburgh Cellars, Newington Green

Things are starting to look up @ The Edinburgh. Nice redec job, ales on tap (yet to sample), some groovy tunes, bitching cocktails (tho I don't really agree with locals and cocktails) and it seems the locals are returning. Will be roadtesting their Monday quiz next week, as the Shakespeare has decided to stop theirs while the Quizmaster is on the road with his band. I don't understand why Islington Council have such an issue with them...the pub has obviously improved since the bad old days, yet they have to pull the punters inside at ten pm!

The Prince George, Hackney

So the pints have gone down in price at The Salisbury? Funny, they seem to have risen at least ten pence at The Shakespeare and The Prince George. Apparently custom is down on Green Lanes, so drinkers in Stokey and Hackney get to subsidise the non-performer. Two pounds ninety five for a pint of London Pride in N16 is a bit of a premium for pubs that haven't seen any real maintenance for quite some time.
Time to consider some other options?
