The Coach and Horses, Oswaldtwistle

I LOVE this pub. Very welcoming and friendly. One occassion when I tried to book a table over the phone there was no reply, but they phoned me back in seconds as they couldn't get to the phone in time! This place just seems to go the extra mile! Always tidy and clean tables, a reasonably priced wine list and reasonably priced food - which is always tasty, home-cooked tasting and nicely presented. All in all an enjoyable and friendly night out.

The Brown Cow, Oswaldtwistle

Firstly, the one good thing I can say about this pub, is that they have reviewed their prices, making them more in line with normal restaurant/pub style dining.

Unfortunately that is THE only good thing I can say, after our last visit on 17/02/07. VERY VERY rude barstaff/waitress. When enquiring if they had a table for 2 on a relatively quiet saturday, we were told "Nope", before said waitress sloped off. It was only the last weekend that myself and my parter spent in excess of �100 there......obviously some places don't need the money,and it will make me think twice about where I spend mine now! Back to the reliable Coach and Horses, I think!
