The Mug House, London Bridge

I've been in here a few times and it is best on a very cold winters evening as it seems very snug and cosy in there. I like Davy's wine bars/ale houses - their wine is pretty good quality - but expect to pay for it, but then again it is London, London prices and all that. I think it is quite an oasis beneath the mad world going on above!

All Bar One, Covent Garden

When this first opened a few years ago - it was pretty good so far as All Bar One goes, and good service was always something you could expect from them.

But things really have gone downhill - the drinks are fine - but if you are planning to eat you will need to be patient and the food is not as it was at all. The waitresses are quite good at ignoring you, so much so it is easier to go to the bar and order your own food, somehow you feel like you are disturbing their day just by being there. This particular branch is just very badly managed, it doesn't put me off going to the others though, but I won't be going back in this one for some time.
