The Jolly Farmer, Cliddesden

I chose to visit this pub for the second time with my family to celebrate a birthday and again was not disappointed. The choices of 'specials' ranged from Grey Mullet, fresh in that day, to Ox cheek and although that was not to my liking, it smelled delicious. After reading a previous comment on here about 'assuming the food was not cooked fresh' I decided to ask and was informed by a very friendly girl behind the bar that the food is indeed all cooked fresh on the premises every day so I think waiting 20 minutes for freshly cooked, delicious food is worth the wait. We all had a fabulous evening and were very well looked after by the staff. I will of course be returning.

The Jolly Farmer, Cliddesden

I booked a table for 9 on Wednesday and was given the side room away from the main bar. The table was laid lovely and the room was very inviting. Our orders were taken promptly and the food arrived hot and in good time. The food was exceptional and with a main meal costing �10.00 on average and all freshly prepared, the value is excellent. The staff were welcoming and friendly and tended to our every need. The Jolly Farmer is a hidden treasure, I just wish I had known about them before.
