The 'Runner is the best pub in Hitchin. From the witty repartee of the back bar to the sartorial eloquence of the front bar.
Where else can you meet a more cosmopolitan array of people.
The staff are not unfriendly, they don't suffer fools gladly.
Good range of beers, the reason there is sometimes a lack of choice of beers is that Kevin runs them all down in order to put on a range of " fresh " ones. Simplicity itself.
