The Willeymoor Lock Tavern, Tushingham

This is a great pub serving traditional pub food [steaks, grills, ham, lasagne, scampi etc] plus 6 hand pulled trad beers - totally unpretensious. situated by the shropshire union canal would be a joy during the warmer months. this pub was featured in older editions of the good pub guide, but appears to have been dropped recently. its a real shame because some of us still love simple things like chicken + chips!!!! maybe you could reconsider its status.its a pretty large place, large outdoor area + very family friendly

The Willeymoor Lock Tavern, Tushingham

Really friendly easy going atmosphere. This is not a gastro-pub, proper pub food here, with proper chips. I had the Willeymore grill which was a plateful, my wife had the lasagne, which was clearly homemade, the in-laws both had the freshly battered cod, which was freshly prepared. The beer was fantastic, 5 trad ales - we had the Sharps special at 5%!!!!. Will certainly be returning
