Im really sad that the Sundays my wife and i have spent enjoying Danny and the boys from King Pleasure have gone. We really enjoyed the gigs which often had talented guests at the open mike sessions. Why the owners did not pursue the same formula is beyond me as the pub was packed each lunchtime, now its dead, just like its forerunner The Fiddle & Bone. I do understand the gigs were free and the talented group sort fame in more prestigious & lucrative venues. But surely the management missed the broader picture, the group was pulling in the punters.
