The Waterside Inn, Shoreham by Sea

This pub is terrible. It's such a shame because the outside area is nice, and the pub inside is a decent size. However, the bar staff here are constantly aggressive and rude.

At 11pm last night, we were finishing off a game of pool. The barman shouted angrily at us to put all the balls down the pockets immediately or he'd do it for us. So seeing as we still had 20 mins drink up time, we carried on finishing the game. The barman then proceeded to bound over tous in an aggressive manner and began to sink all the balls into the pockets. He was clearly on some power trip at being left in charge of the worst pub in Shoreham for the night.

People were allowed to then drink up their drinks until 11,30pm, so why on Earth could we not have finished our expensive game of pool? We had also purchased drinks that night, so had given them a lot of money.

Another time, about a year ago, a similar situation happened with the golf game in the pub. We were told to finish the game, even though we had 4 mins left to play. We were told this at 11pm. Again, we carried on playing whilst the full pub drank up, but then the barman rched round and switched the power off. What is up with the staff at this pub?

All in all, unfriendly, crap atmosphere, not worth going to.
