Chapelford Farm, Sankey

A much needed pub for the area, but heavily food biased. Infact, very few drinking related seats. And the staff like to tell you where to sit. Food is standard pub fare, mainly chips & meat with some grey vegetables on the side. They do a massive carvery which is well reviewed though. Fantastic array or enormous cakes which can be taken away. They pride themselves on serving a couple of local beers, however on my three previous visits the quality has varied from passable to Sarsons. Had to kick up a bit of a fuss to get the vinegar changed but they did in the end. The worrying thing is it was the same for the smoothflow pints which are usually a reliable fallback. Food is good though and the pub Kiddie friendly but very busy at the weekends, just avoid the ale, I suggest a Guinness instead. Rated 3 for the food, beer only would have scored a 0.
