theyr'e making it traditional with 2 pairs of very experienced and steady hands at the helm (former guvnors of The Mawsons Arms).

How can Fullers turn an excellent traditional pub that used to do thai food (The Andover) into a gastro mess surrounded by other gastros including one they own (stonemasons) whilst simultaneously turning a gastro pub about half a mile away into a tradional pub with thai food AT THE SAME TIME ?

That's insane business. Do you think the tenant operation and managed operation of the brewery ever speak? Do you think they could organise a p*ss up int a brewery ?

Maybe they have a 'strategy', who knows ? They might even have a secret volcanic island with a massive 'laser', or maybe the whole thing is totally hosed ? I might drop a line to Simon 'The' Emeny, or perhaps some of their corporate shareholders.

Calm down. We have former regulars complaining about a large part of their lives being changed without their consultation, despite all of the money they have sent Fullers, and to a lesser degree (on account of his relatively short tenure), Tom G's way.
We have former regulars of Tom's former establishment (the thatched house), waxing, presumably at his behest or because of the deep joy of a mini Thatch. Good for them, but it wont make the pubsters change their mind, and frankly, do former andover regulars give a monkey's what these people think ?
I wish him well. I would have preferred if he turned a rubbish pub into a nice bar rather than turn a great pub into an average bar, but it's his business, his decision and in terms of my money, his loss.
My advice to everyone who has been taken as stupid, and called pathetic, a bully or the mafia is to move on and find somewhere else to drink.

The Andover Arms, Hammersmith

I went to the andover at the weekend. I also received a text from Tom calling people who complained 'pathetic' and 'the mafia'.
He has ruined the Andover Arms. It should now be renamed the pitcher and anvil or something.
What a joke.
