The Farmers Boy, St Albans

Really worth a visit .Just had a make over giving it a really cosy atmosphere,no more hard seats as have all been covered with a comfy seat cushion .
The real ales are very popular special their own brewed on the premises ,never last more then a couple of days
Food is tasty alot homemade and reasonable priced .

The Hare and Hounds, St Albans

Really nice pub new landlords have done some hard work which has paid of.
But on another note its a shame they dont do something with the garden as advertised it is meant to be child friendly but on my visit the back of the garden is full of garden waste on over run by nettles. Also the fence at the bottom is falling down which gives the garden an uncared look plus I would have thought it is not very safe for the kids specially as the climbing frame is near it ,mst be annoying to the neighbour .
