The Magdala, Hampstead

Went last Sunday and enjoyed myself immensely. The public bar is reassuringly old fashioned and was very busy. Staff were nice. Guest Ale was Celtic Teap which was excellent, apart from that Pride and Greene King IPA were the Ale's on tap. Ended up staying several hours and chatted to an assortment of the interesting and varied locals.

The Spread Eagle, Marylebone

The staff make this place, esp. Gabby ;-) I visit once every two months or so, would be more but I moved away from the area. Real Ale on tap is stored and managed correctly, I've never had cause to complain. Friendly locals too, definitely not a tourist-trap. Well worth a visit.

The Railway, West Hampstead

Vastly improved pub under the new management. The food looks good and the decor has been cleaned up. Friendly staff too. If (like me) you've previously written off the Railway as a Yob-controlled rat hole, then give it another chance. It's definitely gone up in the world and is worth another look.
