The White Horse, Epsom

I was driving past the White horse on saturday lunchtime and decided to pop in after noticing the pub was surprisingly busy. The car park was full and the place was buzzing with local drinkers and their families.

The pub has been taken over by a lovely (and very witty!) couple called Chris and Jan, who despite having the pub for just a week are doing a great job in turning it around. They're having to do a bit of work cleaning the place up after a few years of neglect and are planning to introduce food, a pool table, and Sky TV in the next few weeks. It sounds like they have quite a bit of experience running good local pubs and know how to do it properly.

It's early days but it looks like we could finally have a good friendly family pub for locals.
