The Dispensary, Liverpool

Looking pretty shabby these days,the Dispensary is a shadow of the pub it used to be. Shabby for a few years the place is now just grubby. Facilities are basic - toilets leave a lot to be desired - and the place is cramped and uncomfortable.

The beer is Cains - while it lasts - with one or two unexciting guests. Last time I was in there the guy behind the bar was so obnoxious and offensive we ended up leaving. Do yourself a favour and walk the extra few yards to the Roscoe Head or the Fly in the loaf. It's time the Dispensary put the towels on.
