Next time you come to the Hood, bring sunglasses -there's a new carpet. Also the Wednesday modern jazz sessions have restarted with the addition of wonderful homecooked curry (�3 and �4.50). Otherwise it is still the best community pub in the area, with a choice of real ales -Courage Best and Bombadier.

With most of the other local pubs aiming at the yuppy/tourist market, the Lord Hood now has by far the cheapest beer in the area -e.g. �2 a pint for real ale compared with �2.50 in most other local pubs

Now has traditional folk music on Tuesday night and modern jazz by Meantime, a jam session hosted by Trinity College music students.
