The Prince Of Wales, Tooting

walked into this pub on a sunday afternoon after a long day at st georges hospital and was very plesantly surprised. the pub is a good old boozer. no wine menus and a million different ales to choose from. the barmaid immediately made me feel welcome. its not often nowdays that your greeted with a smile and hello. my drink was cool and served in a clean glass and filled to the top unlike many over-priced pretentious "wine bars/gastro pubs". there was racing on the telly with a few locals watching and chatting at the bar. the customers are obviously well treated here and there is a brilliant rapport with the girl that was working and the guys at the bar thumbs up for being happy in your work. the pub itself is fairly large and has the old style public and saloon bars both of which seemed well used and gives the place a character that many places are lacking. i would definately go here again and imagine its the perfect place for a good old knees up.
