The Black Horse, Chorley

We went to the Black Horse yesterday lunchtime and were exceedingly disappointed with the service. In fact I was very angry. We ord ered our drinks and food at 12.30 and were still waiting to be served at 2.00. All food ordered was what I call 'fast food' baguettes and salad and chips. We sat waiting for the food to arrive until 1.30.Then I asked when we could expect to be served. The landlady said that he was plating up at that moment. I returned to our table. No food arrived. Quarter of an hour later I asked her again and she said he was putting the baguettes in the oven. What happened to 'plating up' 15 minutes earlier? When it eventually arrived, it was without chips, which we had specifically asked for. Instead we were given pieces of potato which had been fried. We will never go to this pub again. Absolute rubbish service.
