The Coach and Horses, Danehill

Very disappointed. Went for lunch on a Sunday and opted for the cheddar ploughman's. The portions were small ie four small pieces of cheese, only just enough to go with the ciabatta, but most disappointing was to find there was no salad, just numerous roasted garlic cloves and mini gherkins. The white of the plate was very visible under the little food received and at just under �9 I felt rather badly done to! When I asked where the salad was I received a blank look and then was offered a side salad, but with the presumption I'd be paying extra for it.
I can't comment on the other items on the menu but if you do go out wanting a robust Ploughman's lunch I'd advise going elsewhere. This is minimalist and would make any ploughman shake his head in disbelief.
