The Crown Inn, Christchurch

When will Pub landlords learn....there is a Dog lovers population that love to eat out with their companions. There is no law stating that dogs cannot be in a pub or indeed for that matter a restaurant. It is up to the management and their discretion. So we arrived to see bikers and Harley Davidsons in the car park [we almost drove away] and then when we asked for the wine list were presented with a Flip Chart!!! Asked about dogs - no dogs - we left. Obviously they love bikers more than mans best friend.

This pub smacks of pretension and very little else - go to the Three Tuns. Lovely atmosphere and doesn't have to be expensive.

The Three Tuns, Bransgore

Sometimes I wonder as to what people want from a Pub! Generally this place is well run and has good food although I have been let down eating. The overall is one of great character and good bar service - reasonable prices. Food, when the junior chefs are on, can be disappointing and the prices are not run of the mill Pub prices [remember I said reasonable] so this grates, but, when running with full strength the food can be excellent. Why would you want to go to other local pubs whose food has not changed after a major refit?
