Great location . Staff , although always friendly , sometimes struggle to pull a pint of bitter . The beers could also be kept in better condition. Food is very good though .. During the day it is very relaxed and comfortable and highly recommended inspite of the above.

The Ship and Whale, Rotherhithe

i m glad i dont have a pub like this on my doorstep.. My wife would never see me and my doctor would show me pictures of damaged livers... Great atmosphere , food and a solid pint of Spitfire with a clean full head.. It must be so hard making a go of a neighbourhood pub these days , especially one tucked away off the main routes.. there are great walks to be had around the river and docks in this area and I recommend this as the top pick for stops. Sadly they are nt open mid week lunchtimes - except Fridays in the summer.. Great food and friendly staff
