Profile information

Favourite brewery: Grand Union
Fave beers: Golden, not too heavy and I do NOT like too much of a malty/caramel flavuor to my pint
Chilled or room temp: Always chilled - I'm not an old geeza for goodness sake!

Things I enjoy - warm socks, bike rides, pub lunches, board games, reading, wine and time with good friends, lazy Sundays, hectic Saturdays, bacon butties, great shoes, an absorbing novel,

The Albany, Thames Ditton

Lovely location, lovely pub.
It's clientele seems to be 25 plus and they always have Timothy Taylor Landlord on as well as a great range of draught lagers.
I love the food here, it's more restaurant than pub food and so I always ring to reserve a table if we're eating here.
I regularly cycle here both with people and on my own and I don't understand why Beeronaut couldn't sit by the river unless they'd forgotten to take a bike lock.
Toilets are clean and modern - the photo displays on the walls in both the ladies and the gents are a talking point!

The Anglers, Teddington

Cycled to this pub a few times in the summer as it's a nice ride along the Thames towpath.
Huge beer garden which has too much shade for my liking.
Haven't been inside much but it looks comfy and modern and I have no horrors to report regarding the toilets.
Playground for kids - yes, shade this bit but most people who choose to sit in a beer garden (smokers excluded) want to enjoy uor rare British sunshine.
Beers - Timothy Taylor Landlord and Deuchars IPA were on both times I went, and as they are two of my favourites I felt well spoilt.
Good lager range too.
I've only eaten form the bbq and did have to point out to the guy behind the counter that I did not want my salad put together by his assistant as he had an open, bleeding sore on his hand! He did send him away on that.
When I asked how long our sausage sarnies would take I was told they'd not be long as the sausages are precooked. Hmmm.
Good for a beer and the main food menu looks ok, but I let you draw your own conclusion for the expensive bbq!

The Cap in Hand, Hook

I like this pub and it's probably the one I go to most in the area.
Have a wide range of regular beers 5 being the average amount. Good range of lagers and the usual well priced stock of wines etc.
Lovely conservatory, some cosy sofas and a fire, 2 large screen tvs for big sporting events, it went non-smoking way before the ban and have a nice covered seating area at the front for the addicts out there.
Food has been hit or miss recently but staff are quick to respond and their Customer Service is spot-on.
