The Hurdles, Brockbridge

Visited pub with family last Sunday comfortable surroundings, efficient pleasant staff and very good food.

Been here a few times enjoyable every time - slightly more expensive than other pubs but good value.

The Bird In Hand, Lovedean

After prevoiusly visiting a sister pub 'The Hurdles' a few of times and being more than satisfied at the high level of service and superbe fare. Tonight my wife and I went to 'The Bird In Hand'. The food order was executed three times incorrectly with my wife eating her main by herself and a desert that was nearly correct.
The cooked food itself was poor and overpriced. I can't blame the young apologetic staff for the poor service. The blame lies in the lack of training by management.

'The Hurdles' may suffer by association if the quality and value in its sister pub does not improve
