Yes Mcewans you are missing out. It was a private bar/restaurant 25 years ago but now its got good old local charm.
You dont often see shove'hapenney these days but here even the local darts league know where they stand.
Food is from good down to earth basic and can sometime be memorable, mums best gravy.
Old Oakmeadians meet here also, licensee being one of them.

Horton Inn, Horton

I used to like this one then for some unknown reason they stopped selling Directors and that was the best pint of Directors sold within 15 miles of Poole.
I do remember asking to use the toilet when cycling home (to Bournemouth) from Sixpenny Handley in 1957 and being given a small glass of real lemonade. I was 14 then.
