Back again last nigjht for another top evening.
Even though the bar was full of festive merry makers, the space is plenty big enough to take it and in the end we couldn't help but join in with the fun. Well it is Christmas.

Any overspill takes you into the heated covered garden, which seemed to me to be bigger as the pub itself? I'd managed to try the entire Meantime range of beers (bottle and draught!), both Truman's ales and a few spirited night caps by then though, so perhaps just check it out for yourself...

The Water Poet, Shoreditch

Fast becoming our favourite place to drink after spending a few enjoyable week day evenings and weekend days here lately. Great to see the newly re-established Truman Brewery ales on tap and also cask last week. Meantime draught and bottles are also new, with a guest ale that changes frequently /seasonally we're told.
Super friendly service, including to the tables outside in the huge garden which is currently partially covered and heated. Terrific!
A mixed crowd; not too trendy considering Shoreditch location, yet still maintains a relaxed, bohemain feel all the same.
Would recommend. Great food too.
