George & Dragon, Potterne

I visited this pub on many occassions over the last 3 years. Jules and Jo were great hosts and the food and beer had always been excellent. Unfortunately they have recently left and I decided to give the new licensees a go. We went for Sunday lunch, what a mistake. The meat was cheap and tough, the potatoes deep fried not roasted and it came with a mountain of soggy veg and instant gravy, not the standard we had become acustomed too here. As they were new we gave them a second chance and went for an evening meal this weekend. Unfortunately the food has gottem worse. The menu consists of very little except pies and these were the worst I have ever tasted, dry, tough and burnt. The landlady is rude, aggressive and the language and atmosphere was terrible.

Never ever visit this pub unless you want food poisoning, bad language and a mouth full of abuse. Such a shame as this was once a fantastic pub and restaurant.
