The Journeys End Inn, Ringmore

What a difference new owners make! A young couple, warmly embraced by the kind folk of Ringmore, serving generous, wonderfully prepared meals (and very reasonibly priced too), local beers, dogs once againg welcomed (more than just tolerated) a pub full of locals every evening, warm, did I say friendly? Very much so. The place was very busy, but the publican, an American, was very welcoming and his wife (a chef from London; mainly in the kitchen) all smiles no matter who or how many showed up, even late. I had a stew that rivalled anything Ramsey could have made. A party of 12 asked for a late supper at 9:30! No problem. One lady exclaimed, looking at her Haddock (all crispy blonde - the battered fish, not the lady), "It's not a side of fish it's a whale!" Everyone was happy, the place was abuzz, peace reigned (no loud jukebox), a village pub as we used to know and love. We'll definitely be back!
