Verdin Arms, Middlewich

A group of as had a terrible evening here due to poor food and unbelievably bad service.

It took 1 hour and 50 minutes after we were seated for our starters to arrive even though we had booked the table in advance and despite several enquiries . 3 members of our group were unable to have their first choice of dishes from a very limited menu because the pub had run out.

The food was distinctly unappetising, did not fit the menu description and in one case a lamb chop was more or less raw. Generally the meals were very badly cooked. A typical serving of vegetables consisted of one small new potato cut into 3 chunks and 4 small pieces of carrot ( about 1/5 or a carrot in total ). Perhaps they had run out of vegetables too !

Cheshire if full of excellent , good value pubs.
Don't waste your time and money at this one !
