The Sligachan Hotel, Sligachan

We were half way through our starters when our main courses were delivered, when I commented that it was the first time I'd ever been anywhere that did that the man said "fine" and snatched the plates away and stormed off to the kitchen - despite my protests that I still wanted the slice of toast he'd brought to keep my toddler occupied.

When I ordered Heather Ale for my husband someone came to the bar to complain that the beer was not cold and the barman said that it was just the temperature the taps were, and they were all like that.

My husband ordered spicy bean casserole which contained beans in no sauce and my mother-in-law had red veggie curry which consisted of liquid, grease with a tiny amount of veg.

Overall bad food, bad service & bad beer - would never go there again and would not recommend it to anyone. If it's a great location you're after you're spoiled for choice on Skye, so I don't see that as an excuse!
