Innovative young chef puts some of the established eating places in Swanage to shame. Easily the the most interesting menus. Very well cooked, and real portions for real people, at competitive prices. Very friendly staff.

Crows Nest Inn, Swanage

As of January 5th 2009 the pub changed hands and is now a family-friendly, family run pub with a full refurbishment due to finish this friday, 20/03/09.

The pub has been repainted, with new carpets, seating and restaurant brought in, the menu has completely changed and all food is now homemade & homecooked. The landlord & landlady are friendly and welcoming and their daughter has a 10 year history of managing pubs throughout Hertfordshire. Her partner, the new chef, has a similarily long background in the catering industry and completes the new team.

The main aspects of the pub are still there, the 'old blokes' are still present but have taken to the new owners and are happy with the refurbishment and welcoming the fresh approach to the running of the pub.

With only 9 weeks under their belts the new owners have already been awarded full marks in their Cask Marque inspection and the kitchen has been completely revamped...as has the food service which is causing quite a stir.

With new customers coming in every day and old patrons returning after several years of disappointment the pub looks to be on the up and the new team look forward to welcoming you all soon...
