The Alexandra, East Finchley

What can I say this pub has been my life for many moons. I adore the place I even find it hard to sleep knowing that my friends the hairy boy and Noel might be in the Alexandra without me and find that I am drawn to the place at all hours.
There has been a fantastic extension to the rear of the Alexandra super TV, lights etc really worth of seeing.
The pub opens early which is good because I like a pint early morning especially with the hairy boy and Noel there, my best friends.
We enjoy the atmosphere early morning and the friendly service I drink 15 pints a day in the Alex, work can be a problem knowing that the Alex is open without me.
The men are fantastic some of the them are in good shape to, one small problem I would like more gay men to visit.
The Alexandra is so nice I would advise any one to call in for a pint my name is Daclon Scott I am the small ginger man with the legs crossed sitting at the bar, either annoying the regulars, eyeing up a man, trying to break up a relationship, rubing my hand on the hairy boy aka Francis legs or whispering in some ones ear. I will test your patience when you meet me that I promise.
Great pub, great beer great service great time. A must visit

The Joiners Arms, Finchley

I have walked up past the joners early sunday morning numerous time the footpath full of blood outside. If you like knifes maybe the odd gun a bit of getto gang warfare maybe you dont have to look further this place should have a danger sign for drinkers who stay afte 9:00. Be careful ware a bullet proof vest and have a pair of trainers to run out the door

Gertie Brownes, East Finchley

I have been to this pub before I was asked to leave by management myself and my partner. A small little ginger women in particular stands out who asked me to leave this was for no reason they waited to had spent a substantional amount of money before they asked me.
In this pub you will meet people who have an enjoyment and a motivation about talking about one and other.
The beer is not bad to be fair though I hear prices have increased recently. Should anyone enjoy talking bad about the person two seats down from them go there, that is providing you get a seat as the owners like to prop up the bar and size up the clientel . They have lost a long standing bar man, a man very well thought off in the Irish community to the Alexandra a much better pub located 100 yards down the road.
You will get asked more questions in Gertie Browns than chris tarrants who wants to be a millionare but if you have got a jelous streak like talking about people and most of all like putting people down then drink in Gerties no were better in that respect. You will never buy the local paper again if you drink in this one.
