The Cottage, Fulham

I had been a regular at the Cottage for almost ten years, however this summer's ghastly and unsympathetic refurb has left me deprived of a decent local boozer. Admittedly it was rather run-down before, but that was part of the 'Grottage's' allure. Whoever refurbed the place has turned it into nothing better than an airport lounge, with similar prices. No atmosphere, no pool table, sky tv or dartboard (as incorrectly listed under this pub's facilities, see top of page). Pint of Foster's went up from under �2 to �3 - perhaps to cover the loss in custom? Overall I can't help but feel those responsible for refurbing the Cottage neither like pubs nor those who frequent them, this pub is squarely aimed at the Starbucks crowd.
