The Clarence, Balham

Great pub, fantastic beer. Could be a bit noisy on a Friday and a Saturday but maybe I'm jus getting old? Food's good too. Did I mention the beer? Best in Balham. If they could just knock the volumne down by 5 per cent and maybe make it a bit less crowded on Fri and Sat, I'd live here.

Balham Bowls Club, Balham

The staff are a problem in this place. They seem to take ages to serve you - quarter of an hour for some beers on a Saturday night is out of order. Memo to manager, who is said to be a great "craic": either hire some mroe staff or get some who can move a bit quicker or can prioritise - restacking glasses at peak serving time on a Saturday night is not a good idea. Finding some who can smile would be a bonus too.
