The Otter, Derby

We called here after dropping a relative at the airport. Our drinks were fine as was my husbands steak. My beef and guiness pie looked enormous but contained a portion of very tough beef covered with a very thin overcooked pastry lid. We ordered coffee "floaters"which from our position , i could see being prepared at the bar. I witnessed the barman whipping the cream and our waitress dipping her finger in the cream and sucking it, then nodding her head.I presume that she was testing to see if the cream had gone "off". I visited the Ladies toilet before our departure - they were disgraceful. Seats and outside of pans needed a good scrub. We visit the airport on a regular basis but will not be calling at this pub again.
