The Sir Robert Peel, Tamworth

By far and away the best town centre boozer for a good well kept real ale. Good atmosphere and staff are generally knowledgeable about the guest ales.

PS The pork scatchings are made just down the road at the butchers and are worth a try.

The Globe Inn, Tamworth

Recently visited following a favourable review in the local CAMRA newsletter but was very disappointed. Most of the guest ales obviously came through a chiller or were sour. When I took a pint back they couldn't give a damn saying no body else had complained all night. Both my partner and I subsequently left two nearly full pints.

The Albert Hotel, Tamworth

closed down this week due to Kate not being prepared to carry financial loses, another quality boozer gone in tamworth.at this rate we will be a town full of 'kids pop' pubs!
